GroundTruth detects nearby retail stores and shows each store's profit per year per worker — the parent company's annual net income divided by its global headcount, computed from audited public filings (SEC 10-K or equivalent). Figures are bundled with the app; they are informational, not financial advice.
Location. GroundTruth requests precise location access (including background location) for one purpose: to detect which retail store you are near so it can display that store's profit-per-worker figure. Your coordinates are sent to the OpenStreetMap Overpass API to identify nearby stores. We do not sell, rent, or share your location with advertisers or data brokers.
Detection history. Stores you are detected near are saved in a history log stored only on your device. It is never uploaded to us.
No accounts. GroundTruth has no login, no account system, and no analytics SDK. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, or advertising identifiers.
Detection history lives only on your device. Clear the app's data (or uninstall) to delete it permanently. Because we hold no server-side copy of your data, there is nothing on our servers to delete.
GroundTruth is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
